ok i have a v1 ps2 and i use the neokey.now what is wrong is the sys want read the the gameshark not unless i stand it up and then it is only sometimes but the sys reads cd and dvds with out a problem.and when it reads the gameshark i put the codes in and it tells me to put the game in freezes up.
also do you think the 2.2 neo is a better chip than the neokey because i might put that one in. thank ken

i'd get away from the neos and go with a no swap mod also it seems like your laser is dieing u can either adjust it or buy a new one

ModChipsInc had those no solder plug mods dirtcheap awhile back. This is the link I bookmarked when I got mine:

They started a promotion to get the chip and the 2.0 Swapmagic set (re-hashed Singapore AR2's) for like $30 or something around Christmas time. Check them out.
