CD read probem

I have a V5 the DVD play and DVDR film is ok. But it is not possible read CD.
There are a strange noisies.
Have you some advice?

Do you have a chip installed?

If so check the SCEX point.

If not then you should first attempt to clean your laser if that fails then you will need to adjust the pot for the CD side of your laser.'

Arrrrrrrrr, also try runnin a cleaner disc in yer system. Being it is a V5, I'm guessing it's a few years old. That little work horse may just needs a bath, so it may.
