I am having some trouble saving games in my ps2 backup games.

    I have matrix infinity in a slim V12 ps2.

the memory card that i use is a MAx Memory 16mb

The problem started a wile back when i saved the resident evil game. I was able to delete the saved game some how backthen but It came back again. The slot saved that resident evil is saved on is a squire blue box and can not be deleted.

The new games that i am playing are ar tonelico - melody of elmira and fantasy star universe. I can't save the games. It give me an error message saying save failed.

Any idea whats wrong with it? what could be the cause?

    how can i fix that?

    thank you

Some games wont save onto non-sony memory cards. I know for sure that Res 4 will not save onto a Max Memory card. There are other games as well. The only suggestion I have is to buy an original sony Memory card for the games that wont save to the card you have now.

@lalala123: Yes some games are incompatible with the older versions of these Datel Max Memory Cards. Newer versions of these cards have fixed the issues with games like Resident Evil 4 not working. I created a thread here for people to post issues related to these cards (16/32/64MB Datel Memory Cards). If your card is having problems saving from games that should work, then try formatting it with MCKiller. It has fixed all my issues so far.

EDIT: Use the psuPaste feature in uLaunchELF to back up your game saves to a USB Device or HDD, or just copy them to another MC if you have one so you don't lose any of your game saves before formatting...

WHat is the uLaunchELF and Mskiller? How do i use them? Do i need to have a hardrive inorder to install them and use them? Or can i just burn them to a cd or dvd and boot from there. will a external hardrive for the pc work if i plug it into the usb on the ps2?

    thank you
