movies are fine but any game i try to play with dolby on (originals and rips) it doesnt work... the only game that works is vice city and thats in DTS... and if it helps my receiver is a sony str-de885

from what i had read only the movies are actually 5.1, while the rest is just stereo
some games have dolby built in most dont. you can look on the back of the game case to tell
what do u mean by dolby? Digital Sound (connected by TOSLink cable)? or DTS or Dolby Pro Logic II? Well all my games support digital sound the only one i found that dosent is Initial D Special Stage for some reason but even PSX games support Dolby Pro Logic II. So i think its either cuz (in vice city's case anyway) if its a dvdrip then they may have ripped out the DTS or ur reciever isnt setup rite.
