ps2 won't connect with smc router
ps2 won't connect with smc router –
I just installed exec ftp on the memory card. I can run it successfully. I have a SMC 7004VBR router with my ps2 connected. It seems that the router detects the ps2 because I can see the active leds on my router off the ps2 but I can't find the ps2 DHCP Client Log in the router, I can only see my computer IP, no ps2 so I also can't connect with flashfxp to my ps2. I already tried 100 ways but it just won't work. The ip configurations settings are good on my ps2. It is driving me crazy... pls help me
what is the ip on your pc and on the ps2. can you ping the ps2 from your pc?
My router ip is 192.168.2.1 my ps2 ip is 192.168.2.100 and no I can't ping to it

try changing your PS2 IP to 192.168.2.10. some routers have a small pool of IPs like x.x.x.2-x.x.x.20 and won't route packets from/to IPs outside that range except over the WAN port.
I Just lend another network adapter from a friend and it works fine I can connect with my ps2 with exec ftp and go online. I think the other one is broken
