    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I tried modding a ps2 with duo 3 gold, the ps2 is scph 30001,serial number starts with u2.....,date code 1A, mother board gh-10, i assume it is a version 4. After installing my chip, it wouldn't work, it did power up and everything but won't play any game, original or back ups. I took the chip out, retest it same thing, it wont spin. I checked all the fuses are fine. I took the whole laser track and i tried it in another ps2 with the same version, it did spin and the laser did respond. I checked for a splashes of solder there is none.
I did modd before with success slim and fat ones. please somebody help me,
    i ran out of ideas.lol
    Thanks

I've had the exact same problems when tearing one down or reassembling it, and it is almost always one end of the ribbon cable that goes from the mobo to the laser itself isn't plugged all the way in, or is crooked...Hope this helps.
