Get a cheap DVD-Player. Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Best Lie.....errr...Buy--they all have cheap ones that will play SVCD--just check the spec's and the symbols about Compact Disc Digital Video and the VCD/SVCD standards.

Got my APEX 1100W for $50 from Wal-Mart, got a nicer one (1500) for my mom for $60 from Circuit City. Apex are a sweet deal!

take the movie with you to walmart and try it out,
alot of players wont play SVCD or vcd, you just have to see...

    I have a AD500 that wont play any CD-R!
and an AD1500 that wont play VCD!

also that CTP SVCD is in PAL format, so you may get the 'rolling' screen..

I just converted them to DVD compliant MPEG2 and authored a DVD

I'll post my creation on a.b.dvdr tomorrow if anyone wants it.
