I seems that somehow I can't get this to work. Is there something else I need to do exept just burn and finalise? Or should it be DVD-R instead of DVD+R?

If your using a mod chip should just be burn and play
If using FMCB with ESR you have to use ESR patcher on iso then burn and it is in downloads at the top of page
and most ps2 like DVD-R
DVD-R is the best choice, although I have burned a few DVD+Rs that work.
How do i burn games that i have downloaded for ps3?
from my experience dvd+r are better than -r ,ex : San andreas fmv lag and when i start game it freezes , with dvd+r no lag at all and gameplay is perfect
