im buying into the world of ps2's soon and was wondering if the v10s have been released in australia yet because id rather get a v10 instead of the v9, and does the cardboard thing work in australia?

a few stores have them in syd. already (harvey norman chatswood does). I'ld be careful about installing a dms3 in them despite ppl claiming it is in 'perfect harmony' with v10's; many installers have told me that it works but the drive makes loud squelling noises during gameplay (i've seen this happen on 6 diff'nt instllations ALL with diff'nt mounting positions, all wires aid flat against the mboard and twisited pairs on clk, d and e - makes no diff'nce). Premods has also reported this as well.
I have yet to see any of these in SA - but I have not really seen that many V9's yet either - good old Adelaide is by far slower on the scene than NSW and Vic - should have moved states a couple of years ago - would have made a fortune! :cry:

I have seen them down to $229 at some places. So don't pay more than say $239
ya reckon i could goto kmart and get one with a game for 200 +50 then take the game back and say it doesnt work and try to get a refund for the game only?
