Is there a web browser for the North American PS2? I've seen PAL and JPN versions on the internet, but none for NTSC consoles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, unless you have a Linux Kit and use a Linux web browser.
or the sony browser....
or the EGB. i have the ISO. havn't tested it though. the elf is PBPX_952.01
Can the Linux kit be used with an unoffical HDD?
what do you think?
No...
Yes, it doesn't perform a firmware check on the HDD. Still, the only way you are going to get it legally is with a HDD, as the Linux Kit includes a HDD, and Sony doesn't ship replacement discs by themselves for the kit. The first disc is needed every time you boot Linux, along with a Memory Card with the kernel installed to it.Originally Posted by finty101
Get PS2_Browser(pal).rar off emule / edonkey network, included in that is a NTSC patch. This is really old news, yes it works, yes its really, yes PAL, yes NTSC with patch...
Read this very long thread...from about half way you find the info about this.
