Hey this is my first post and shouldnt be my last.I got a ps2 a long time ago but the board blew up or something and I just replaced it.It now turns on and its ready to go but I think(I mean I know) I broke the controller port plug on the main board.I shouldnt have even taken the cable out of the plug on the board because I see how easy it is to put the other end in the actual controller port.Anyway There is a little tab that goes up and down where the cable goes but that tab on the board doesnt lock like the tab on the port itself. So if I try to plug it in then it will just fall out. This is stopping me from using this PS2 and I just want to know if I am doing something wrong or is it broken and unfixable. It looks like it should lock in place because like I said the controller port has the same kind of thing and I can remove and plug the cable back in very easily but not the other one.

If youre not confused could you provide some help. Thanks a lot

If you said that you broke it how will it lock like it should again? Basically all that tab does it lift up and down and lock the ribbon cable in place. Sounds like you broke it if it is not locking. You gotta be careful with this type of stuff, it's pretty sensitive.

close the tab with the ribbon inserted. Hold it down and apply hot glue to each side, that should hold it.
