Broke Fan

Ok guys, I have a ps2 this guy sent me to mod. It was not doing to good on the inside. Someone did a walmart swap apparently. V5 case but v4 mobo and internals. So anyways the guy put the ps2 back together wrong. They put the plastic shield that goes under the power supply and put that in the expansion bay and tried putting it together that way. So they totally knocked the whole connector off the mobo. So there is no connector on the mobo at all. Can I just extend the wires on the fan and send them to power and ground points on the mobo? Thanks guys. The guy also just mangled the reset/eject ribbon to. Ripped a whole right through it w/ a screw apparently. Well thanks guy. If anyone can help me fix this fan I would greatly appreciate it.

as for the fan.. it should work if you wire it up to a 5volt point and ground.. not the 3.3v point (unless you want a slow fan :P )

i assume grey wire is power and black is ground since on almost everything black represents ground. Thanks
