Botched V4 DMS3 2.0 install?
A friend of mine agreed to attempt to install my DMS3, but eventually gave up when he got to attempting to solder the wires around wire O (the solder wasn't sticking), so he removed what he'd done. My PS2 mostly works, but when I boot the system via the power button, the drive tray ejects and every time I hit the drive eject button now (whether to open or close the drive), even on the BIOS screen, the system resets. This doesn't happen if I push the drive tray a bit to have the motor start pulling it back in. Any ideas as to what might have gone wrong and whether it might be repaired? Also, does anybody know of any good installers in the Milwaukee, WI area who would be willing/able to tackle a V4, should I get it working properly first?
Edit: OK, it seems that the buttons are now the same button. The power button can eject the drive by tapping it, and the eject button can turn the system off by holding it. So, any ideas where the leads would have gotten connected?
