Is anybody using PS2 with PC monitor? What are you using- those vga boxes that only connect to PS2 and TV, or that cable with wich you have to load certain software that unlocks hi-resolution in the games? What is the picture like,is it better than on the TV?
    Thanx!

i dont do either but heres what i know.

i dont know about unlocking higher res or that it can be done but
thats me. when using normally, any TV type signal on a monitor
will be better by definition, but i always got annoyed by the fact
    it's blurry (tv 640x480 monitor 1600+ x 1200+)

bottom line, it will not jump from SVCD quality to HDTV

ONLY the "Blaze" vga adaptor does the real deal, it forces the ps2 into its natural vga resolution, with a startup cd. Its tricky to use, they HATE modchips, but LOVE DISC SWAPPING (the startup cd is awesome for that, it loads backups of gs2v1.9!!!), but there is absolutely nothing even close to it for picture res. The other "VGA Boxes" use the double scan method that just re converst the ps2's regular forced to 640x480 to fit the tv output mode, and makes a half-assed signal for the monitor. I have both.
The Blaze was the cheapest, too.
