Bad experince with my PS2

Shocking news I heard from the shop tht tells me that I bought a recond PS2. I bought it as new from another shop. I feel cheated and also the unit has many problems. I took the PS2 to rechip but the shop tells me my Laser lens spoilt and he change that for me. He said nothing wrong with me chip. I took back home and the new lens still problem. It make a round scratch on my disc. Now my games can't be read. Stupid businesses tht out to con us consumer. Now I'm thinkin of trading in this problem unit and get another unit? But have not made up my mind yet though. But I know its actually not the PS2's fault but the human tht run businesses tht are not truthful. Anyway what do you guys feel I should do now. I made a mistake tht I didn't took back to the 1st where I bought from to repair, so now I think they would void my claims as I fix it from others. Guess nothing I could do right now. "Sigh".

Yeah, though luck dude...screw that shop owner, I've heard a lot of stories regarding things like that, guess, we can't do anything bout that, try reading on the forums,...and different information on the net, with enough luck & patience you might be able to fix ur console urself...cheers!
