I bought a AR2 V2 about 2 months ago, because I got a new PS2 which didn´t support the old AR2
Untill yesterday it worked great
But now when it tries to save (when entering a new code name or a new code) it gives the save screen but after that, it says HARDWARE ERROR PLACE AR2 CARDRIDGE, or something like that
After that I pulled the cardridge out and then put it in again and tried to save again. But still the same error
I tried using slot 1 after that, didn´t work
I tried resetting to factory defaults, didn´t work
EDIT- I read this
Q. I've got a "Hardware not detected" error.
A. Your dongle probably hasn't been inserted fully. Try carefully but firmly pushing it in as far as it will go.
I allready tried that but that didn´t work
Does anybody know what´s going on?
I have to admit that those AR2 dongles are extremely unreliable. Try spliting it open and clean the contacts with some isopropyl alcohol or methelated spirits. What ever you do, DON'T solder those contacts.
If the above fails, then the dongle may be damaged.
At any time, did you ever remove and/or insert the dongle while the PS2 was on???
If so, you may have spiked one of the IC's on the dongle.
I hope the above helps.
Good luck!!! ;)
Relayer :D :D :D :D
I tried that but without success...
The ´funny´ thing is that the AR LOADS correctly (when you start the disc up) so that´s not problem
So does anybody have any ideas?
I allready mailed Datel so I hope they have an idea....
