When re-screwing up my ps2, I caught one of the wires for the fan, and I did the screws up real tight. Then one day, the fan stopped, I didn't realise, then the PS2 stopped playing and the reset button started flashing red and all I could do was turn it off at the back. I re-opened the case and saw the reason for the fan stopping and adjusted the wire, but the fan still won't work, after numerous attemps.
Everything except the fan works, but without the fan the PS2 heats up so quickly, it's pointless turning it on.
So I was wondering, could I use a cheap pc fan in my PS2? Obviously it wouldn't fit perfectly, but do you think it would work? Would it get too hot still? How much are PS2 fans (im about to research that btw)?
Shenmue 3 + Virtual Reality. Is there anything more perfect?

    I want a Wii!

You can get a fan for super cheap: 10-15 bucks.
As far as the PC fan would go...You just want to use a fan so your ps2 don't heat up so I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work EXCEPT the obvious fact that the fan is to big. You'd really have to rig it up, and it'd be to much hassle IMO...So, you should just find some1 selling parts, and get it off them, and just wait.

I had the same problem, my fan fuse was dead after crushing one wire. Now I have to tap power of via a transformator instead of the ps2 for the fan.
