    Hi,
I have something around 5-6 scph-50004 board that after failure chip installation have black screen. I checked all fuses and also checked for shorts on board (with microscope), everything seen OK, but there is black screen, all other thins are working just fine.
does any one have a clue were can I look for in order to solve this problems?

That's typically a bios issue... a successfully loaded bios will at least give you the PS2 splash screen (with the flying electrons).

I'd go over the bios chip very carefully.

Is the chip still in it? or removed completely? What chip?

its not the bios. I replaced it with working one and still the same problem.
the boards are without chips now.
I am sure that its some diode or capacitor that blow, but I dont know which.
