50002 all you can get now in Oz...

Wow, hi ya guys,. I'm so excited that V9 is out in Australia. Do you guys knows what will the model number for the official Asian region (HK and Singapore).. Could the version be 50006??

Does your v9 in Australia is the PAL or NTSC version??
Can't wait to get one..

It is a PAL version!

I don't personally share your excitement though - the V9 is bad news for modders..... well... for the next month or so anyway...

I hate it when Sony gets the upper hand.

I know how it feels when Sony targets Australia to release their v9 since the new law for sellling and installing mod chip illegally has been enforced lately. i still could find a V9 yet in my coutry.. maybe they will be release here once all the V8 are sold out..

I think that SONY is grinning right now as there are none modchip that can crack their boot sequence and game region detection flawlessly. I hope the new M2 Pro 1.31 will be released soon by September as mentioned by charlie_ps2.. That will wipe the smile off their face..

i was tempted to see they had grandia for the psx and for a cheaper price than other games..
Berserkerk: HK would be 50006, Taiwan 50007, and then there's 50005 for the rest, australia = 50002
Thailand is included in the HK model bit, and perhaps even Singapore Malaysia and the rest of Asia..

I'll be posting my tests tomorrow (01-Sep-03) on this forum of the Messiah 2 v1.31 production candidate. It works fine on v7 US, v8 HK and v9 50000MB. It's being tested on a load of other PS2s at this time as well by others.

The only delay to my post is because we're changing the RESET wire to EJECT on the install because Sony have changed the behaviour of the RESET button to shut off the PS2 before it can disable.

When I've tested this, a new v9 Install Guide and Operating Instructions will be posted.

As to bulk deliveries, well there are no Actel blanks available!

I have a brand new 50000 here right now, and I really would like to test the behaviour of the new Messiah.
