Alright, So I know I liked goldeneye, nightfire, and a few other bond games. Something about stealth kills I love, but not as stealthy of splinter cell of course. Though I didn't like the movie much for quantum of solace, I thought I would give the game a shot. I think I should start out by saying I do think the game was better than the movie. It of course follows the movie pretty well, and ads in a little back story from casino royale. Gameplay wise, it plays a little like gears of war, where you can take cover, slide up and down your cover, then turn the corner real quick and make your shot. Your enemy AI is about as smart as gears, as in they take cover, try to flank you, toss grenades to get your out of your cover, and seem to use teamwork to kill you. You can do alot of the moves you can do in gears of war like the dodge roll, and finish off someone upclose with the press of a button (smack em with your weapon or if you come up behind them you can choke them out). It's not as beautiful as a chainsaw bayonet, but it's not bad for a ps2 title. In fact playing the game, I caught myself asking "This is a PS2 game?". The models were pretty well detailed, and the maps both had interesting structure and textures. Here's where stuff starts to go sour for me... NO MULTIPLAYER?! I would kill for a little split screen or online action in that game... It's short... I played it from start to finish in about 4 hours this morning. Replayability is about null for me without multiplayer. No driving sequences in this game, instead you watch the fmv of his driving. I was kinda looking forward to perhaps the plane scene or the first car chase. Many bond games had driving involved somehow or another.

My Rating: 5/10 stars with a love hate relationship. Great gameplay, but no replayability with no multiplayer

My recommendation: Rent it since you will be done with this game after you beat it once.
