$99 PS2 systems?

Guess that's what you get when you want something right away.

I payed $280 for mine, but at the time the system was new and the price was worth it. if the price does drop I'll probably end up buying myself another system or 2

In which case if it does go down the day after thanks giving, they will just refund you money if you bought it within 30 days of it.

The price isn't goinh down till late FEB or March then it'll be 149$
Yes I paid over 300$(plus tax) when new but how long ago was that ....(People where outside my local K-mart at 11:00 pm at night so they could buy one at 9 AM when they opened, Too bad kmart only got 6 , and my girlfriend (assistant manager) snaked two of em')

Dont feel too bad. I payed $300 plus tax quite a few times.

Even more for my PAL PS2.

That is an old rumor that circulated on all the major sites at that time. It has been proven to be false. That's not saying that a price drop is impossible, just that the Target rumor was fake.

I've seen the "Black Friday" ads for several major retailers and the PS2 is still listed at $179. I don't think we'll be seeing a price drop this year.

Well, the ads are made ahead of time anyways. When the first price drop occured the adds took 3 weeks to catch up.

I remeber two years ago I seen an OFFICIAL ps2 magazine where it said the price was gonna drop at the same time this is supposed to, the day after thanksgiving. It never happened. Common sense will tell you it won't go down to $99. Maybye $149, but not yet.
