Wii U modchip/softmod coming?

Just curious if anyone thinks/knows if the wii u will be able to be modded somewhere down the road. This is my first launch purchase and I don't want to spend money on games that I will probably download somewhere down the line.

There is a video of someone running the Smash Bros exploit on a WII u in Wii Mode. Some code can be executed but no Wii games playable at the moment. I'm sure something will turn out in the next 5 years

. Guess I will be paying for video games again for a while lol.
