    so i just got a
    LG GDR-8164B DVD-ROM Drive IDE not realizing that since i got a new computer it does not have the hooks ups for the ide, so i was wondering what kind of adapter can i buy to i can use it ?

    you can get an ide to usb adapter mate there about £10 but if you just want to rip the games you have onto a external hard drive most usb loaders will do that for you

    Its not onto a external drive, im just trying to install my dvd drive in my pc so i can back up my existing games on my pc..

    just did some research on it but it looks like i can make it a external but what your telling me to get.

    The other thing is i dont have a external hard drive

    if you want to back up and play your wii games an external hard drive is best way to do it, it doesnt have to be a very big one as most wii games are around 3gb or smaller ive got a 500gb drive and its no where near filled, but for your disk drive i think the easiest way would be to run it as an external disk drive just to save all the hassle

    best use usb hdd, games will loading faster than drive.
