LetterBomb - NEW Gameless Wii Exploit that Wants Your MAC Adress

Well, it seems quite strange that this exploit requires a MAC address, i would be very, very careful in attempting this, in my opinion i would stick to the exploit on a game disc rather than this, a bit dodgy if you ask me, Nintendo can quickly cover this up, with a new system software update. Just my thought anyway

This is working flawlessly on a 4gb sandisk memory card, worked without a problem and now homebrew is working brilliantly.

I have an american Wii 4.3u but didnt have a game to exploit it with so this came at a brilliant time.

As soon as i was online with it what happened there was an update from nintendo so be warned when you connect it to the internet it will ask you for an update.

Either way i am a happy guy.

I'm still curious as to the Wii needing the MAC address in order to get home brew access. I would prefer a game disc hack any day. It's much more secure, this is jut my opinion Again still shaky about the MAC address thing.

WTF are you 5? The wii doesn't need the MAC address in order to get homebrew access, the website needs the mac address to do an on the fly compile for the exploit so you can use your wii. Without your mac address this won't work, there is nothing shady involved. Re-read my post:

They don't want this open source (for more intelligent reasons than your claim of them wanting a mac address will ever have to offer) so they can't give you the source code to build this yourself with your own unique mac address. They need your mac address to get this working hence the part "This is needed because the Wii will only accept messages addressed to its specific MAC address." . They don't spend time obfuscating their code for nothing.

hi . letterbomb site seems to be down at the moment . i have already downloaded exploit for a wii with it,s mac address . with the site being down is it possible to change mac address in already downloaded files so i can put different mac address of another wii in it ?

I have softmodded the wii almost every-way possible, and i must say the letterbomb process is the probably the most simplest way of accomplishing homebrew. But i doubt it will last that long.

No, it needs be changed before it is compilated...
Because of that is done "on the fly" when you write it on LetterBomb
