Weird PS Vita glitch with PSP games
I am not quite sure how, but apparently I was able to install some PSP games from my OFW PS3 to my 2.02 Vita even though they are NOT in the Vita store. One of the games wouldn't transfer before but now shows up.
I just bought the Daxter/Secret Agent Clank bundle from PSN today. Daxter is in the Vita list but Secret Agent Clank is NOT in Sony's list for Vita compatible PSP games yet I was able to copy it over and can play it. I got the PSP version of Little Big Planet for free during the Welcome Back program. I have tried several times and that game wouldn't show up in the Vita content manager to transfer and is also not in the list. Now for some reason I can transfer it over now.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I know that when you enter the PSP section of the Vita Content Manager that the Vita downloads an encrypt file which I believe is the file that lists what PSP/PSX games Sony will allow you to transfer over to the Vita.
Can anyone on Vita 2.05 check the Vita Store to see if Secret Agent Clank or Little Big Planet have been added to the PSP section as I can't sign into PSN without updating to 2.05 and I won't do so until a new exploit gets released.
As far as I can tell those 2 games are not on Sony's publicly viewable list and shouldn't have shown up to transfer.
As a side note, you can install Vita Content from a PS3 to your Vita without being on the latest update as the PS3 somehow can activate content to your Vita. I was never able to activate my Vita through PSN as I can't sign-in since I'm on 2.02 and now my Vita shows up in my PSN account as an active Playstation Handheld.
People on the Mac can create their own version of OpenCMA using Charles to bypass the version check.
