Has anyone been able to successfully tether their iPhone 3gs to a PS Vita(wifi) via a wifi hotspot. No matter what I try I cant get the Vita to recognise the iPhone, I've tried MyWi and pdanet with no luck. I've read heaps of posts about it being easy on iPhone 4 and up but nothing about the 3gs except people saying it should work, none saying they've tried it. It's simple to connect via bluetooth but the vita cant obtain an ip address. I'm able to tether the 3gs to my laptop and create a hotspot that connects to the Vita but I'm looking for an alternative to 3g and I dont want to take my laptop everywhere, but I've always got my iPhone with me (duh). Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

you would use mywi and not the on demand version, it would also have to be the 5.0.1 build if you are on OS 5...

it usually has issues with encryption

    it cant do WPA

it can do WEP, but usually has issues, suggest just running it without security.

Thanks for your advice but the Vita still cant find it even though all my other devices find it every time. I'm gonna downgrade and try different builds, maybe I'll get lucky.
