PSP Vita's PlayStation network?

I have a question about the PSN for the Vita: Will PSN games designed for the PS3 be playable on the Vita? The only rerason I am asking is because, as of right now, there are few games I want for the Vita, and I am hoping a Sonic game will be released on the Vita. In other words: Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 was released for the PS3 PSN, and I am wondering if it (as well as Episode 2) will be compatible with the PSP Vita.

Sony is working on bringing more games from the PSN that you already purchased, over to the PS Vita. You might be able to play these games via remote play for now. I am sure most PSN games being released will be compatible with the PS Vita.

I am hoping that somehow Sonic Generations (PS3) is re-released for the Vita, so I would not have to get a 3DS for THEIR version of Sonic Generations-- wait, even if Sonic Generations IS re-released for the Vita, I would still get a 3DS and Sonic Generations 3DS...

Which brings me to ask THIS question: Does Sonic Generations support PSP Vita's Remote Play?

What exactly IS Remote Play, anyway?
