PSP Vita software emulation?

I read in a past issue of GameInformer that the PSP Vita will be capable of emulating PS2 games. If so, how will it be possible, and will it be possible to download PS2 games to play on a PSP Vita, similar to the homebrew/jailbreak scene for the original PSPs and the PSP-Go?

I actually doubt the Vita is capable of truly emulating the PS2. More likely games will be re-engineered to work with the Vita. If and when the Vita get hacked you will probably be able to pirate the reworked PS2 games to your hearts content. Arr!
