First, I did not steal this vita. I bought it (dead) from a guy at a flea market, went home and charged it, and now I know that it is in demo mode. So I am trying to make the best of my situation by trying to get it out of demo mode. I have updated the vita through recovery via PS3 and CMA with no luck. Still stuck in demo mode.

I cannot get into settings on the vita. I wanted to try the sticky guide posted by Yuki in the vita general forum, but I cannot get into the wifi settings on the vita to set up the charles proxy.

I have the three 2.06 OFW files and I know how to get into recovery, but I need a way to force the vita to use the OFW files that I have downloaded and not contact sony's servers and request the latest demo firmware.

Is there any way that I can accomplish these things? I just don't want to admit defeat and have the money just be wasted on a vita that goes into standby every five minutes unless it's plugged in, no internet/online, and no personalization settings

I am somewhat computer savvy and am more than willing to learn how to do any new methods to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
