Bypass Vita Firmware Update News –
I know that the proxy trick to get your Vita on PSN without being on 2.05 has been blocked but I have partial good news. Using Charles I was able to get my 2.02 Vita on PSN once today. I tried it again later with no success. I'm not exactly sure what I did to get on but I couldn't replicate it to get on again. Maybe Sony didn't fully patch it and there still is a way to get on. I was able to get on long enough so I could link my new Vita that I bought today with my PSN account so I can transfer content over to the Vita.
There still maybe hope. I'll keep playing around to see if I get on again.
Try connecting to OpenCMA and try connecting with Charles while OpenCMA is still open.

Now if we can figure out how to bypass the ACL list that Sony uses to block certain PSP and PSX games from being copied to the Vita. I have a few ideas to test out.
At least I play my purchased PSN Vita games without needing to update to 2.05 so I can still play PSP ISOs on 2.02.
It appears that you can link you PSN account to the Vita without being on the latest version using Charles but getting on PSN is patched, for now. I do wonder if the proxy trick will work again when Sony releases the next PS Vita update.
