Tutorial: Fixing Covers in Multiman for PSX Games
Tutorial: Fixing Covers in Multiman for PSX Games –
In light of the new tutorials and downloads about getting Multiman to display/boot your PSN titles and the new PS3 Game Cover Collection recently posted on this site by sealhealy and Jay-Jay and tthousand, I have decided to share with everyone here what I learned about getting Multiman to display the covers for PSX Titles.
Some of the PSX titles like Twisted Metal 2 are installed in a folder called NPUI94306. So, when you install your covers from the new PS3 Game Cover Collection released by tthousand after having followed the tutorial(s) posted by sealhealy or Jay-Jay about getting Multiman to display/boot your PSN titles you will have a cover installed called NPUI94306.JPG or NPUI94306.PNG. However, it will not display the cover for your Twisted Metal 2 PSX game because the PARAM.SFO says it's Title_ID is SCUS94306.
To fix this, all you have to do is navigate to dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers and find the NPUI94306.JPG or NPUI94306.PNG and rename it to SCUS94306.JPG or SCUS94306.PNG.
For any PSX games that do not display a cover in Multiman, just ftp your PARAM.SFO to your PC and if the TITLE_ID is different from the game folder ID just rename the corresponding NPXXxxxxx Picture in your covers folder to your game's PARAM TITLE_ID.
Most of the PSX Titles have their cover in the new PS3 Game Cover Collection release. For the ones that don't, Google Image Search is your friend.
