Ahh okay as long as I did everything correctly. Thanks for the help.

It should work with Vantec's 3.5" NexStar 3 esata/usb external case and a WD 2TB EADS/EARS hdd (I tried 3 different cases/hdd's, and they all worked).
The codes for this case (hdd doesn't matter) are: 0x04fc:0x0c25:1
However, it DOESN'T work with Vantec's 2.5" NexStar 3 esata/usb case (the one that says Initio INIC-1610P).
I tried it with a WD5000BEVT drive
This combo DOES work if the drive is formatted as FAT32 however.
Vantec's 2.5" NexStar 3 case also comes with another chip (says JMicron inside USBView or 0AS inside XMB) (codes: 0x152d:0x2329:1) which works very well with the Seagate ST975042 750GB adv fmt drive when formatted as a FAT32 drive, but I haven't tried it as a NTFS drive since all my games are in that one

Another good way is experiment with different external hdd. I have a WD 2tb that was working before but now it wont load up my games (very strange I might add). Is it a game I added recently? Is it too full? Who the F*** knows?
Oh and transfering the USB.cfg using multiman's manager can cause it not to work properly too. Its a theory by some. My guess is what kind of usb device you use. When I use my cheap pen usb (its usually a no go).
FTP it and you wont have a problem if you did it correctly.
I have the same problem with hitting PFS Driver and having multiman lock up at PLEASE WAIT forever, the only problem is I KNOW FOR A FACT that my HDD works with my ps3 because i used it before on an earlier version of multiman...i was even watching movies off of it, so something else has gone wrong in Wonderland here.
Hey guys sorry to bump this back up, but i am having the SAME exact problem, ive tried using one 32 gb stick and my 120 ipod, and now im attempting to use my 160 hdd. i formatted them all to NTFS and used a 4gb stick to transfer the CFG file...but nothing is working
I need it to transfer Ni No Kuni (21 gb game, PSN version)
Got it to work on my HDD i unplugged my 2 usb hub and it showed up
