80608, mate.
I just saw that. Was rushing back to delete thread before my stupidity was discovered. Too Late
Has it worked for you though mate? I press on PFS in MM but it stays on "please wait" forever.
same issue. been googling and seacrhing for 2 days. no solution. plz keep this thread bumped so we can get a real solution. edited cfg file. name and ext all in the caps. put it in the corrrect directory and it still wont recognized my external ntfs drive. just freezes on "please wait"
Couldn't get it working either. Freezes every time. Will try to play around more on Wednesday and will post result if I get one.
If you guys want real help, your going to have to tell what your ext hdd is, and maybe even upload your usb.cfg file for someone to look at.
Okay my harddrive is This: a 1TB My Passport Essential SE
and I have it currently Set up with 2 partitions that I formated with EASUS Partition Master, First one is 300gb FAT32 with my games on it, other one is 638GB NTFS drive.
according to USBVIEW Picture here
my USB.CFG should have this line and ONLY this line in it -
0x1058:0x0730:2
Now when I do toggle the NTFS driver on Multiman(running the most recent one) it does enable the driver rendering me Unable to see my FAT32 300gb partition however my 630GB NTFS partition does not show up. ANd Yes I did copy it to the /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR folder.
I tried to be as detailed as I can any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
The good news is it looks like you've done everything right, but the bad news is that it's fairly well known that not all drives work. A senior member here (bitsbubba) has posted numerous time that one of his NTFS drives is recognised but the other one isn't.
And there's more bad news. The NTFS driver issues are not multiMAN issues. The drivers were discovered a while back and Dean just implemented them and said there is nothing he can do about it if they don't work for some people, it's a ps3 system limitation.
I myself have had a lot of issues and find the NTFS driver works intermittently with my WD my Passport 500GB although it hangs a lot when I load the driver. My Samsung 1TB seemed to be working fine but only yesterday did I try to copy files from it, and it then acts as if there's nothing on the drive even though I can browse it initially.
