Tried to update multiman and it's bricked my PS3!!! –
I am running 3.55 with multiman and everything was fine. I haven't used my PS3 in a few weeks so I went ahead and downloaded an update to multiman. It downloaded, and I went to install the pkg and it froze. I eventually got a message that it couldn't load and then my ps3 rebooted. Next thing I know, I have a screen stating that the ps3 system software cannot be run and to reinstall. Can someone please help me get back going?
try to go Recovery Mode and rebuild HDD data base
Hi Mike, welcome to the forum..
You may want to give people a little more detail..
Something has gone wrong clearly, but I wouldnt be blaming multiman.. its pretty solid these days..it could be a number of things..
Ive only just update MM myself within the last 20 minutes without issue..
what cfw are you using?
what MM version did you install?
Thanks for the welcoming! I tried whatever the latest multiman it stated, which was 2.00.04. Previous version is 1.16.11. I have a fat ps3 running kmeaw 3.55 (my understanding is there is not anything more updated I can run, correct?).
At any rate, it looks like I was able to get it to restart, so I am going to try to download multiman on my usb key and try to install that way.
With that old of previous version. I would get the full or base version 2.00.04 from front page multiman thread before any updates.
