Ripping PS1 Games –
06-16-2011,10:48 AM
I know this is a n00b question but I want to ask it any way.
I know a lot of PS1 games don't work properly because of the Blu-Ray laser or something. However I know some games don't have this problem because I can play FF VII on my PS3 no problem. However, Multiman doesn't give me the option to rip the game.
Is there a way to do this so I can play it off my HDD like I do my PS3 games?
I just don't want to have to switch between the 3-4 CD's that FF VII is all the time. Is there a homebrew PKG out there for doing this?

For now only way is game purchasing from PSS or PSXCD-ROM compatible with your console region.

For that you need an psx emulator and the closest thing atm is either by using the cobra dongle or mednafen, search in the emu forum and you shall find.

There's one PSX emu but it's on early dev stage. It almost useless.
BTW: Cobra is real?

Surprisingly, yes! Cobra is very real and it works. At this current time, that's your only option; use Cobra. There's no open-source/scene/community program for playing PS1 games outside of the VERY poor PS1 emulator.
