    # multiMAN will also scan /dev_hdd0/ROMS/snes for game roms and covers
    Can we make subfolders for each emulator to keep them apart?

    I created & copied each of my emulator ROMS to:

    /dev_hdd0/ROMS/SNES/
    /dev_hdd0/ROMS/GEN/
    /dev_hdd0/ROMS/FCEU/

    I installed cover packages from this thread for all 3 emulators from XMB. When I launch MM they don't show up from the "Game" tab inside MM. Is it because of the folder structure? Do we have to copy all of our ROMS(all supported emulators) into the ROMS folder and not in separate subfolders? Thanks! BTW, I can run all the ROMS from each individual emulator but not working from MultiMAN.

    Condor's packages install into MMs covers_retro directory. So if your Options.ini reads,

    /dev_hdd0/ROMS/SNES/
    /dev_hdd0/ROMS/GEN/
    /dev_hdd0/ROMS/FCEU/

    and the actual covers are in,

    /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers_retro/snes
    /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers_retro/gen
    /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers_retro/fceu

    then the covers will not show up in MM. Make sure you move the covers from the covers_retro directory to your roms directory, or just leave them where they are and notify it in you options.ini file. Again remember that Condor's .pkgs for covers installs to /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers_retro/"snes/fceu/gen/vba" Hope this helps!

    One more thing, You will need this version of MM, if you don't already have it, in order to edit the options.ini file to specify where you want your "rom covers" to be stored/read.

    No wonder I was having problems. I thought starting with v2.00.02 there was support for retro gaming. I guess that's part or the biggest problem. This version doesn't affect anything from regular v2.00.03, right? That's the MulitMAN version I'm currently using. I just wanna make sure because I'd hate to lose any data. Thanks for the heads-up bud!

    I just checked the options.ini file from the latest emulators MultiMAN(v2.00.03). It does not state what's listed in the 1st post of this thread:

    # multiMAN will also scan /dev_hdd0/ROMS/snes for game roms and covers
    The default options file states this for all 4 emulators:

    # multiMAN will scan /dev_usb00*/ROMS/snes for game roms, too
    There's no mention of MM scanning for ROMS & Covers from /dev_hdd0/ROMS/

    Did the default options.ini change from when the 1st post gave this information. I assume we can change the path & still be okay for scanning? Thanks!

    I just checked the options.ini and it is still there. Your's not having it tells me you don't have the latest update. That quote from the front page was not put there when the first post was made. It was put there when the options became avalable in multiman. So you need to get the latest update that is posted in the multiman sticky. Without the version of mm that started supporting the options just adding them to the ini will not work.
    Dean just a few minutes ago posted a new version there as well. You can now also update to the new 03 version from multiman online from any version 01.17.00 up.

    The latest MultiMAN version pack with emulators? I used the link provided by neiljames which is a MM version(2.00.03) posted yesterday. I'll check out the sticky!

    Edit:

    The 1st page of dean's thread is only updated to v2.00.03. I don't see any updated version unless dean posted it in his thread & not on the front page yet. Here's what the latest options.ini states right from the front page:

    # ================================================== ===========================
    # Retro EMULATORS
    # ================================================== ===========================
    # SNES9x for PS3
    # multiMAN will scan /dev_usb00*/ROMS/snes for game roms, too

    snes_roms=/dev_hdd0/game/SNES90000/USRDIR/roms

    # FCEU for PS3

    Too late for me though, since I already have all my stuff renamed! As for what program to use to create .pkgs I believe MagicPKG does both packing and unpacking of .pkg files. Found Here:

    http://psx-scene.com/forums/781109-post1.html (MagicPKG v1.0 Now Released!)

    I think you have to create your own eboot.bin file which is beyond my knowledge. I hope that someone will explain to you how to do so, I'd love to make my own .pkg files.

    @condorstrike CAW!

    Yes! Your time and contribution is appreciated, very much so! Good Luck with your other projects mate!

    Regards,

    Thanks for the info man, I found a nice way to package stuff by using 'psn_package_npdrm.exe' [crc32: 56A1F45C].

    I made a test update (GD) package and installed a single cover to 'covers_retro\LOL\' directory. I went to multiman and using FileManager I could verify that everything worked fine without any issues .

    However, I don't plan to include the 'psn_package_npdrm.exe' with my application because from what I read is kinda illegal, so I will keep my application clean of troubles xD.

    There will be an option to indicate where the EXE is located tho, so the package feature can be used.

    The PARAM.SFO and ICON0.PNG and all the USRDIR structure will be generated automatically by my application when creating the package so there is no need to worry with any of that stuff.

    Soon I will start working on the ReadMe.txt file that will contain all the information needed to use MMCRen.

    This will make the life of those working on Cover Packages like Condor to update their packages in a easy way. And of course let everyone make their own Cover Packages for use with MultiMan =).

    BTW, sorry if my English is weird xD, my original language is Spanish =P

    SeeYaa!

    Yeah he dont post update's to the front page. There is where the full and base of major version goes. Check his latest post http://psx-scene.com/forums/830637-post15195.html (multiMAN - multifunctional tool for your PS3 (Game manager/File manager/FTP/AVCHD/BDMV)) From reading that post it seems to me there may be 2.00.04 on the front page there before long.

    Yeah! I grabbed the latest one & the options.ini file is right now. Is there a ROM limit for each folder? I got some ROMS missing after transfer. It looks like there's a limit to each emulator folder.

    Edit: My darn retro covers aren't showing either. I was just looking through the folders from file manager before. I hadn't tried it from MulitMAN before. Some of my games weren't matching in name to the covers so I changed them to match but still not showing.

    Here's my paths:

    ROMS:

    dev_hdd0/game/FCEU90000/USRDIR/roms/
    dev_hdd0/game/GENP00001/USRDIR/roms/
    dev_hdd0/game/SNES90000/USRDIR/roms/

    Covers:

    dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/covers retro/gen/
    .................................................. .............../nes/
    .................................................. .............../snes/

    That should be the right paths. I used condorstrike's covers pkg files so the resolution shouldn't be the problem. What in the world?
