Retro games on multiMAN?
Retro games on multiMAN? –
02-12-2012,06:04 PM
I just jailbroke my 3.55 PS3, and I'm loving multiMAN a lot, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to work the retro games. I've installed all the emulators compiled for multiMAN, I placed a few ROMs at the root/ROMS/SNES of the internal harddrive, but none of them are showing up. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance!

check the case. you have to spell it exactly like it says in the options file. pretty sure SNES needs to be lower case - not sure about roms

try placing your roms in dev_hdd0/game/ROMS00000/SNES. U will have to create this folder

Put the roms in dev_hdd0/game/SNES90000/USRDIR/roms this works for me and if you installed the right snes emulator for multiman the folder should already be there, if for some reason it's not just create it.

I've placed them in both dev_hdd0/game/ROMS00000/SNES and dev_hdd0/game/SNES90000/USRDIR/roms, they're still not showing up under the Retro/SNES tab on multiMAN. Is there a newer version of the SNES emulator compiled for multiMAN?
Also, if I were to update an emulator with the ROMS in the filepath, will they get deleted during the update process?

It's a problem with the new version of multiman. deank did some modifications. sit tight - I'm tracking down the solution and will get back to you

Oh, if it's just multiMAN, then I'm not too worried about it. If you can find a solution, that would be great, but you don't have to do that.

it's alright. I saw a bunch of people having trouble with it and decided to double check my system. I had a bunch of roms on there and now they're all gone. I'm reporting the issue to deank, and am trying to see what's going on myself in the mean time. If I come up with an answer, I'll post it here

Any idea how to force install a PKG? I have the one with all the retro covers, but it says it's already installed (which it's not)
Or if there's anyway for me to tear it apart and manually put them in the proper folders, that works too

yeah, you can either extract all the contents manually using PkgView or you can delete the PARAM.SFO from whatever you're trying to overwrite and then run your pkg installer
Here's your solution to your problem about your roms not showing up - install the pkg found here. Just do not update multiman until this problems been fixed in a future release
