I placed them in the retro/psx folder with the same name as the game, in .png format. I even tried refreshing the retro list, and multiman. What Am I doing wrong?

Give examples of the names of your game and PNG covers. Also be sure that the image sizes end up in even numbers. This also seems to help.
I prefer using COVER.JPG for all the names of the covers. I tend to use 640x640 as my default sizes.

I have Shadow Man in USB00/PSXGames/Shadow Man.bin
I have Shadow Man.png in HDD0/game/Multiman/Retro/psx/Shadow Man.png
The file sizes are the default you'd see in google images when you immediately get search results, just right clicking and saving the thumbs. I wanted them to be all uniform without having to edit each one. I think it's 300x300, I'm on my tablet so can't check right now. I didnt think size mattered unless it was too big.
Thanks for the reply.
You should put the covers and BIN files (including the CUE files) in the same folder. For example: (also try avoiding using spaces in the titles of the files.) At least that is the way I have them and it works fine.
Like I said before, if the images are 300 x 301 then it might have an issue. Always make sure the pixels end in even numbers (i.e. 0, 2, 4, 6. 8).Code:USB00/PSXGAMES/SHADOW_MAN/SHADOW_MAN.BIN USB00/PSXGAMES/SHADOW_MAN/SHADOW_MAN.CUE USB00/PSXGAMES/SHADOW_MAN/COVER.JPG

Thanks a lot, I'll try that. I didn't think of putting the games in folders since they worked without.
That worked, thanks a lot, again. The size didn't matter though, I just tried them before transferring back and forth and the worked. They were all around 255x256.
