PSX BACKUPS.

I have a PS3 60GB PAL BC MODEL. I burned TOMB RAIDER 1 on VERBATIM CD-R and also on TDK. The only thing the PS3 does is makes some kinda buzz sound every 2 seconds.
I tried IMGBURN/ALCOHOL 120%. It simply doesn't work. I tried setting 8X which was the lowest I could set.

The PS3 works with original PS1 GAMES.

Can I burn a PS1 game to a DVD instead? It seems like TOMB RAIDER 1 is multi-session, is that a problem?

Do you have any CFW? What loader are you using? Ect ect?

tomb raider 1 and 2 doesnt work because of the mixed mode cd issue but 3, 4 and 5 work just go for a different game and burn at 16x thats what i do with verbatim discs but ive also burned things like spiderman at 40x and it still worked perfectly

OK THX. BTW I have 3.55 KMEAW with latest multiman. That's kinda annoying it was just TR1 I wanted to play... Screwed up about 4CD'S...

I don't understand why the PS3 is buzzing on that disc, looks like even the laser has trouble reading it?

Can't I convert the disc somehow?

doesn't work means "doesn't work", could be ATM could be indefinately you never know

try a different game at 16x and see if the buzzing sound is still there maybe its just the tomb raider rip your trying and if you do get a tomb raider 1 and 2 that work sometime please let me know because i would also like tomb raider working i have 3, 4 and 5 but not a 1 and 2

Got it running. Open created ISO/BIN with POPSTATIONGUI and save as EBOOT.PBP. Then convert EBOOT.PBP back to ISO with PSX2PSP v0.7. Maybe some music will be ripped out by doing this I don't know. I suppose it will also work with ISOBUSTER by deleting the multi session tracks but haven't tried it yet. It froze launching the manor tough in Tomb Raider 1, but it got to the menu, maybe it's because I haven't made a memory card slot thing.
