Good morning everyone, I have a PS3 SLIM 320GB - Model No CECH-2504B(CFW 3.55 Kmeaw installed) and bought an external hard disk usb 2.0 "Western Digital HD ELEMENT EXT 2.5-Teras 3.5Pol WDBAAU0025HBK-EESN" and formatted it with "EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition" in FAT32 Partition because Windows(diskmgmt.msc) only gave to format in "NTFS or exFAT" and diskpart(cmd) is not even acknowledged.
The partition is formatted in FAT32, and the disk works fine.

    Now my problem is this:
When I connect the HDD to the PS3, multiMAN (ver 1.17.02 BASE (20110424_142000) recognizes the drive as "#USBx" but can not loading the games inside the folder "GAMES or GAMEZ"(no cover games appears), show only games that are installed inside the internal disk (320gb) of the PS3. Already tried very thing but without success, can anyone tell me if there is a limitation on the size of the disk recognized by Multiman or have some configuration issue or something else?

If I'm not writing the right place, please some moderator / admin move my post, thanks.

OK bitsbubba, thank you for your quick response.
I'll try to make a partition of 2TB in FAT32 and let others 500MB like you said.
    After confirming I leave feedback.

    Best Regards.

    i have same configuration with u except i m on 3.41cfw.using MM1,15.

dont know why but i should warn u this Hd has big delays while reading.
"disk not inserted" errors, big lags while playing videos r waiting u also.
btw maybe u should try rogero/Iris or old ones of MM.uninstall/install can work.
try delete old covers and MM folders first.

For those of you still having this issue, I fixed it by getting this for my PS3 Slim: Amazon.com: POWER A Media Expansion Bar for PS3 Slim: Video Games

I plugged in my 2TB Western Digital Essential USB 3.0 external drive to one of the USB ports, and it works just as well as it did when the drive was plugged in to my old PS3 Phat.

Since this is a non-powered USB expansion module, the external drive turns on/off automatically according to the power state of your PS3 Slim. If you decide to get a powered USB hub instead, I don't think the external drive will automatically power down unless you turn off the power of the USB hub manually. Overall, this killed 3 birds with 1 stone for me...expand the PS3 Slim's USB ports to 4, add media card support, and use the new USB 3.0 drive.

    *** UPDATE ***
My slim is now hanging. I need to check if this is the cause. Need to do more testing.

    *** UPDATE ***
The hanging wasn't caused by the hub...it was actually to much heat in my enclosed cabinet.

I think neither the PS3 nor the HDD can be blamed for some of those delays, as slow operation is partly caused by the use of so huge FAT32 partitions.

I have the same problem in a WD MyBook Premium Edition II 2Tb. The PS3 recognize the hd and i can see the content and open it but in multiman the hd is mounted in devusbXXXXX but don't show the icon of the hd and the games inside this. I try with an usb pen and multiman recognize it and see the icon so i don't know what's happen.

    Anyone has solved the problem?

P.D. Excuse for my English but i'm not an English speaker
