Hello, I have asked this problem on another forum, but we still have not been able to get a positive result.
I am thinking this is a Multiman problem. So I thought this would be the correct place to help solve this issue.

    Here is what's going on.
Just went from Cobra 6.0 to Rogero 4.30 V2.
Used QA Flag. Everything went good.

    Using Rogero 4.30 v2 FW.
    Using Multiman 4.20.02.
USB Drive, 2TB Formatted Fat32. One Partition. In the Right or Left USB port makes no difference.
Partition created with EASEUS. Logical with Fat32. Just reformatted to Primary. No difference...
Formatted Fat 32, With GUIFormat, with a cluster of 65536.
GAMES or GAMEZ, VIDEO, PHOTO, MUSIC, ROMS folders. IN CAPS.
100% Positive folder is in ROOT, GAMES/BLU***** ETC.....
    1 internal drive.

    Here is my problem.
Multiman will not detect the games in the Games folder. Off of the USB drive only.
WILL detect internal games, no problem.
WILL detect and load a game from USB thumb drive, Fat32 or NTFS, with GAMES folder.
Does show a USB Portable on XMB.
And don't let me forget that Mm, does Detect the drive, it does appear in the Video, Music Section, and the folders on the USB drive can be see as port 71 or 91, if you go to, for example Retro and view folders. Or thru File Manager.

Now if I go into Multimans File Manager, go into the USB drive, goto the GAMES folder, pick a game, go to the EBoot of the game and load it from the file manager. Mm reboots go's to the XMB and game will load and play. ONLY with a disc in the drive, will not work disc-less.

Also trying to install Rogero 8.5 manager installs, then when trying to load gives an error.
Using Iris manager will only show the games on the internal drive, and the USB drive does not even appear.
When I try to rip a game from the BR Disc drive with a BR Original game disc, the game comes up in Mm, hit triangle, copy game. The USB drive doesn't even show in the list, just the internal drive.

Now like I said before, I can on into file manager and load that way. I can even use FTP and access the drive, copy rename, whatever.
I even tried to copy a game using the FTP manager to the USB drive with no luck. It copied but did not show up on the Mm game list.

I can even go to Retro, and load my ROM games (SNES, etc) from the ROMS folder of the USB drive. And the games populate In Mm columns.

So I know the the drive is working, I know that Mm will work if I go thru the File Manager.

Left or right port does no difference. Shows as port 71 or 91.
    Refresh makes no difference.
If I do the Start and Triangle, all it does is drops the USB port to everything but Retro???, then I have to reset Mm for it to comeback.

Tried Reinstalling Mm, Uninstall then reinstall. No difference.

Well I hope you can help.
    My kids are going crazy.

    Thanks
    DaPlayer

It is very possible that No0bZiLLa had a point.
He is a knowledgeable person here.

He might have typed something up, posted it, re-read what you posted and realized that how he had answered would not work for your situation.

    It does happen sometimes.

Maybe we can get @deank to come have a read and give some positive insight to what's going on.

I would 1st format with EASEUS FAT32 Primary
Second connect to ps3 MM, make sure it detects.
from game list in MM copy a game from internal to external (something like triangle, copy, usb002 or w/e it is) MM should create the GAMES directory for you.
It might not show right away, just wait a little, maybe click the refresh at the top. Patience is key.
Then if you can get it to show, turn off the ps3, unplug the usb and take it to your computer and put your other games on. Try once again in MM.
REMEMBER sometimes it takes MM a god-awful long time to scan large drives! be patient. Sometimes I just scroll up and down the games list like a madman because I am impatient, and I click refresh a LOT. I know I dont need to but hey thats the way I am.
Try it see how it does.

    Well should have mentioned that.
Originally, I did Partition and format Fat 32 with EASEUS FAT32. Made no difference.
But, just so we can go thru the motions here, I will reformat In EASEUS with Fat 32. PRIMARY.

OK, So reformatted with EASEUS Fat32. Primary.
With No folders Pre-set on drive. No GAMES, MUSIC, Etc... Blank
PS3 Detects drive as USB Portable.
Mm detects drive as USB Port 071.
MM File Manager Detects drive as DEV_USB071

Ok, go to a game in the drive, triangle, copy. ONLY internal drive shows. NO USB.
If I turn the Net host on, that shows in the copy section, internal, and host, no USB.
    Waited 25 mins,
Yes, I agree it takes a long time, but not more then a couple of mins. I get impatient also, doing the exact same thing you do.

Mind you I can access the drive thru the File Manager with No Problems.

Yes I would love if Deank would take a look.

    Thanks for your time.

thanks and... yeah, i was gonna suggest to change the game genre in multiman, you can change which games are shown in multiman by genre, but i am sure this isnt the case if you deleted and reinstalled mm. you can still try this, but im pretty sure thats not the problem

Here is a quote from a question asked to me.
"Is the game column actually titled 'game' or something else? Try tapping square in multiman xmb several times to change it back to 'game' or select + R1 to switch from video mode to game more also I take take it you've tried several different games? as a missing or incomplete .SFO for example could also cause an issue. How were the games you're trying originally ripped? with cobra? Try a game from a different source."

    Answered!!!

    Says Game.
Yes I have tried several games.
    No ripped with Nero.
All the games work, just don't show up in the games list.

That's not the issue, the games run fine if run from MMos just don't show up in multiman game column. It's as though the file path for the Game folder on the USB hdd is wrong although that's been checked.
    No luck.

    Thanks

I think it has to do with the exact size he made his 2 Tb partition. I have PS3 Slim with Rogero 4.30 and 4.20.02 Mm and I run games perfectly from my 3tb Seagate Expansion drive formated to 2tb (actual size 1.81gb)Fat 32 64k clusters, The other partition is NTFS 1tb formated with roughly 900gb. I also used Easus to setup my drive but I don't remeber I used for formatting. Anyway I have no probs with detecting downloaded PS3 games into the external GAMES dir as well as my own backups and have been using Mm since around 4.19. I have only 3 folders on the external labeled GAMES, VIDEO, and an extra folder PKG_GAMES where I store pkg files that I use Mmos to move to root. I can run split games PS3 games from my external also. The way I get games larger than 4gb onto the external is by transfering by wired connection from PC to internal drive then have Multiman split the files for me when copying to external USB. I would check the size of your 2gb partition because I had to research how much 2tb is exactly after formatting which is roughly around 1.81gb. I hope this helps any.

Another suggestion might be the format his games are in. All of my games are in GAMES dir on external with BLUS... BLES.. folders. True Blue patched games also do not work for me on Rogero 4.30. I am not sure about .Iso games I usually extract .iso then put the folder into the GAMES dir on external and I also make backups with Mm itself either directly to external or internal if file sizes are bigger than 4gb. other than that try lookin through mm settings but I can see my games on all menu styles with just default mm settings. I even reverted back to 4.20.00 from 4.20.02 but then updated to latest again just to see if everything was working the same. So the new 4.20.02 isn't giving me any issuses.
