Hello everyone. I'm a n00b and I expect all the admins to jump at me with comments about using the search function etc. I did use the search function and google.com and nothing I found was relevant to my problem.

Anyway. I just got a PS3 slim 160GB, installed 3.55 CFW, multiman 1.16.08, BDEMU.pkg, did the F***PSN 0.6 procedure which runs fine and did my first two backups in an external drive. Both backups worked fine, played well from the external drive.

I tried to play Fallout New Vegas, which was copied to another external drive (the backup was made on another ps3). Multiman saw it just fine, I selected it and it showed up in XMB. I chose to run it, the prompt for the game updates came up, which I downloaded and installed. And right when it's done loading the trophies, as it is ready to actually start the game menu screen, a pink screen comes up with the background main menu music and about 10 seconds later the music stops abruptly and the ps3 freezes on the pink screen. Nothing responds so I just have to unplug it from the back to restart. I tried running it both with an original game in the drive and without. The outcome is the same.

I googled about this and what came up was a possible issue with graphics card drivers in the PC version of the game. Nothing helpful about PS3. I will try later today to run it from an internal hard drive and without the game updates to see if that is the problem.

If anyone has any idea what could be the problem please let me know.

    Thanks a lot!

The pink screen has been seen on New Vegas but it has usually been associated with problems after trying to apply mods. I don't know much more than that sorry.
