    Hello,

    I just got a PS3 Fat 40Go with 3.55 Kmeaw CFW and Multiman 02.04.00.

Everything works fine, except parental control. Even though i changed the pin code and set the restriction option to level 7, games like God of War 3 still boot without asking for a pin code.

Am i forgetting something to do ?

I also tried setting up parental control on the XMB (since games are still to be launched via XMB as bluray discs, i thought it could work), but it didn't do any good either.

    Thanks for your answers !

Not a burn in any kind of way but why would you want your child playing with a ps3? If you have to put a lock on it..

Because i dont want my kids to play God Of War 3 or CoD Black OPS while i'm not around, but still want them to be able to play games like Ratchet & Clank, Modnation Racer or any other game of their age. I dont get where the problem is, parental control exists on every console for this reason (amongst others).

True... (but still) backup managers can play any game without the access code... Also if I had a kid they WOULDNT be playing with my expensive gaming system. IMO ps3 is really meant for like 17+gamers. That's why they made a wii.. more mature games on the ps3 than kid games. ALSO you wouldn't want your kid updating your console. Anyways lock or no lock if the kid is old enough to go in your ps3... there are other ways to unlock the parental lock (other backup mangers) Reason why the parental control lock wont go is because the game is launched via backup manager... the real game yes backup manager no

Well, he's 10, there's no chance he's gonna find a trick to bypass parental control. And certainly not by downloading another backup manager.

Not a burn in any kind of way, but i didn't post this to enjoy your opinion on the PS3 or have to justify why i want to "lock" my PS3. Thanks anyway.

Parental Level Control works in different way. You set the MINIMUM level allowed to access without a PIN code.

Say a game has Level 6.
You set Parental Level 5 ( or 6) and you'll get the PIN prompt.

The higher is the game PL - the more 'violence' in it, so you must set multiMAN properly.

Setting level to 1 will cause ALL games to ask for PIN.
Setting level to 11 will cause ALL games to work without PIN.
