No disc icon on XMB, game not showing in multiman

hey guys,
i went from my MFW>OFW>Waninkoko v2 and my games wouldnt be read.
so i went back to OFW again and it read my game, i clicked disc icon and i just got a black screen, now it wont read my disc's again!
it was working perfectly, then i turned my ps3 off for 5 minutes, came back and turned it on then my discs wouldnt be read.
please help!

like what bm?
do you have bdemu.pkg?
is it 1 game, or more?
fix permissions?

BM is multiman
BDEMU i will try that.
ive tried brutal legend and Heavenly sword
i will also try fix permissions

yeah youl need the bdemu.pkg

that should solve your problems

either way, shouldnt the disc icon be showing up in the XMB?

its just getting weirder... PS3 games wont read, but PS2 games work without the hassle...
wtf is going on?
has blu-ray reading dissapeared. im worried. :\

Worried you should be... I don't know what it is but for some reason this seems to trigger your Blu-Ray laser going to the pooper....

At least it did for me. Mine died when I installed Kmeaw & new HDD. For days I looked thinking it was somthing I did, took it to a repair guy... laser was fryed

Shouldn't be too much of a hassel to fix, I paid $90 installed.

Do you have a fat or slim? It might be completely unrelated and probably a shot in the dark, but I do know that downgrading certain systems under certain conditions can disable BR compatabity, most notbaly the older fat systems. To what extent that happens, whether it's just BR movies or games as well, I don't know. But it might be a possability that something similar went on here. Does seem strange that BR doesn't work but DVD does... Do you have a BR movie handy?
