i did some other tests...unfortunately the transfer rate (even if the usb hub is 2.0) is awful, only 1Mb/sec instead of 35Mb/sec with the hd connected directly to the ps3

i have the same problem...my 1TB seagate hdd worked PERFECTLY fine on my ps3 in ntfs mode until i just updated multiman to 2-09-02...i forget which version i was running before but it was older since i dropped out of the scene around the time MW 3 came out.....now MTFS mode just locks up multiman and i have to hard reset ps3...WTF....im about to go back to version 2 mode haha

I've got a 1tb Western Digital Elements ext hard drive, with one single partition formatted in ntfs.
With multiman 2.00.03
with default options and without bdemu installed everything works fine, multiman sees the hard drive and i can copy any content to the ps3.
With every version released after the 2.00.03 the ps3 hangs when i switch to the pfs driver and i have to hard-reset the console.I tried everything, installing, reinstalling, with and without bdemu.
Now i tried to connect the hd through an usb hub to the ps3...and it works flawlessly with every multiman version
Maybe this will help

Use FAT32.
