maybe someone can help me on that. I was recording a tune on my guitar that i want to use as background music for a MM Theme, i replaced the old SOUND.BIN File with my own. It works perfect till this point. The old music repeat itself, but my file dont. Is there anything i need to change in some settings or is there another trick that i didnt found out by now. Thanks in advance for your help.

What is the exact size of the old and new sound.bin?

I made some changes in the test versions, but in the next release it must be okay.

old file is about 5,52 MB big (its the Linkin Park / Final Fanatsy 10 mix) and its 06.02 minutes long

new file is 9,12 MB big and its 05:08 minutes long and the bitrate on my song is 128 kbit/s

thnxs Deank for the answer, really appreciate your work! Another Question is about the length a music file could have. My first try was with an instrumental song i wrote wich is 57 minutes long, but im sure bout after 5-7 minutes the Music stopped. Is there a limitation on the duration of a song?

edit: i think i am using your latest Update within the Multimann Thread, i just updated this morning

In latest updates there is a limitation for the mp3 buffer = 8294400 bytes (8100KB/7.91MB). I lifted it back to 15.8MB which should be enough (it will be in the next update).

If your file is larger than the buffer it may not loop (the first time it is played).

Audio is not limited by duration - only by file size (16588800 bytes).

If audio file is larger, playback will stop and skip to next track.

Thank you yery much Deank! I think i could leave some of the shredding out of my song at the end wich should bring it down to 7 MB. I wait for the next update then to put longer files in

Many many thanks for this info Sir. This particular issue has been driving me batty since the last updates as I was convinced there was something wrong with some of my mp3 files and/or the sound.bin!

Just an extra point regarding music playback in the fantastic main XBM. If I were to play an mp3 whilst in the menu (from the music list) would it be possible to showtrack title/info for each as it's playing? Either a pop up box or small scrolling display somewhere on screen. You had this in the file manager section a while ago but that disappeared. Would be nice as I find I'm using multiman now for ALL it's uses. mp3 playback, movie watching, gaming...

This really is touching perfection and is so close to being the full xbmc app/game loader which many predicted would appear when all this kicked off way back in october. Most expected a port of xbmc but unbelievably you have built this from scratch!!

To use a very old english phrase. I doff my cap to you sir.

Check the latest update in multiMAN's thread. If it doesn't help - try to change the audio duration by 1-2 seconds (+/-).
