multiMAN's Theme Download Section - Organizational Thread
Hello fellow multiMAN themers!
As you know there is a download section for themes inside of multiMAN itself. For that section to stay well organized and up-to-date with the latest and greatest themes, itís going to require one single dedicated point of contact. This is where I come in. Dean has entrusted me to be the multiMAN Theme Admin and hopefully help make that section of multiMAN a smooth operation.
This thread will be used to organize the themes download section and to take your theme submissions. Of course not every theme will be added to the section right away. They will be looked at to make sure they are complete and in good working condition. I will inform the theme maker if their theme is missing necessary pieces. The theme maker can either create those missing pieces, or I can pull them from Deanís original theme. If a theme is missing too many parts, or if itís not really a theme, more just a few backgrounds or something, then itíll just be rejected. Iíll try to be as fair as possible about all of this. Time does play a factor though and I canít spend all of my time working on one person's submission that is too incomplete. It wouldnít be fair to others, who have theirs ready to go. To know that your theme has all of the necessary parts required to make it function properly, please use Deanís original theme as an example. His theme should stay up-to-date with the current version of multiMAN.
What is this thread not about? Well, itís not a place to showcase or release your theme. I just merely need a link to download it really quickly, so I can test it and move it on through the process. This is also not a theme making tutorial thread. There are other, better, places to either learn about making themes or to do official theme releases.
Also, please understand that Iím going to only take theme submissions in this thread and only from the original author of the theme. It would be a terrible use of my time to go searching through other threads or the internet for themes, most of which Iím sure would be out-dated.
Ok, down to business. Here's the format that I'd like themes to be submitted for the download section of multiMAN:
* For multiMAN version, please put the version of multiMAN that you tested it on, preferably the most current version.
Theme Name =
multiMAN version =
Download Link =
Preview Image =
** For the Comments area, we're giving you your choice of what you want here. Please try to keep this short, because I don't know how much room we have to work with here. This can be used as a quick tag reference that describes your theme, or it can be a website address, or whatever you come up with. We don't want comments though that promote a bias against other themes, or is insulting to any other theme, such as... "the best theme", "Dean's favorite", or "the other's suck".
*** With any of the fields that you submit for this, they can't have an asterisk in them.
**** For the Preview Image, please give a 640x360 jpg that you feel best shows off what your theme is about.
Here is an example of these fields being used within multiMAN's (current) theme download area for Dean's original theme...
For those themes that were already added by Dean, they really donít require anything, unless the author wishes to make changes to anything, such as to their comments, or preview picture.
And please keep in mind that I look forward to keeping these downloads up-to-date, so if you change your theme in some way, then give me a link and it'll be updated. Also, at any time if you feel you'd like some of the fields related to your theme changed, then let me know. I want the multiMAN users to get the best and most current collection of themes to choose from, including the most current info.
Thanks everyone and if you're on 02.03.00 and then pick up Dean's next quick update to it, then you'll be seeing my changes to the download section happen immediately, with no middle men. And from 02.04.00 and beyond it'll be that way as well.
Make Believe & Disruption Themes
My two themes:
Theme Name = Make Believe
Author = keliuss
multiMAN version = 2.03.00
Comments = It Only Does Everything
Download Link = Make Believe theme for multiMAN 2
Preview Image = Attachment 29295
Theme Name = Disruption
Author = keliuss
multiMAN version = 2.03.00
Download Link = Disruption theme for multiMAN 2
Preview Image = Attachment 29294
Both are .pkg packages and already contain the preview image (640x360) in the respective theme folder.
The Disruption theme was one of the first ones Dean put in the list after he released multiMAN v2 and I have tweaked it a little since, hence the new link for it. Also, would you please update the preview for it as the original was a hasty copy and paste and looks poor.
Nice to see this section being managed JAC.
