I don't need you to send me your translations. This is work in progress. Once I'm ready with the COMPLETE language file then I'll need your translations. This is only to test your files.
I added 20 more labels for the XMMB popup boxes. Before updating your multiMAN make sure that you have updated the language file, otherwise it will lock.
Here is a test update ONLY FOR PEOPLE TRANSLATING multiMAN:
multiMAN ver 02.01.00 UPDATE (20110629-190000).rar (549.75 KB)
The .rar contains multiman .pkg and LANG_DEFAULT.TXT (209 lines and is valid ONLY for this test update version).
You can edit and rename/save LANG_DEFAULT.TXT as LANG_XX.TXT and pick "Other" language, or use your language ID and test it by saving the file in multiMAN's USRDIR/lang folder.
You can also generate this default file by starting multiMAN while holding L2+R2 to enter debug mode.
To edit the language file, use a text editor, which supports UTF-8 and doesn't add CR to the output (EditPlus would be a good choice)
Save the file as UTF-8.
There should be no LF codes in the file (0x0A).
There should be no "\n" "\r" "\x" or other special escape chars / strings in your translation.
Do not delete lines, do not change the order of the lines.
Some lines contain the "|" character(s), which means NEW LINE. Do not remove!
Do you want to create a shadow copy of the selected folder?||Source: [%s]||Destination: [%s/%s]
will be auto changed when loading the txt file to:
Do you want to create a shadow copy of the selected folder?\n\nSource: [%s]\n\nDestination: [%s/%s]
and will display as:
***Code:Do you want to create a shadow copy of the selected folder? Source: [%s] Destination: [%s/%s]
I still have to add all labels from XMMB mode, genres and few other things, but it goes very slow and I don't have much time last few days. Almost all except XMMB mode is available for translation in this test txt file. Format of the file won't change, so you can use your test files with the next versions by adding the new lines/labels.
Each time you select an Interface Language from the SETTINGS column, multiMAN reloads the respective LANG_**.TXT file. It means that you can modify the file and FTP it to your PS3, select the same language from the list and changes will be applied immediately - it makes testing a bit faster.
