Had you modified the Castlevania eboot prior to going to 3.55 CFW? If so, you need to restore the original unmodified eboot. With BDEMU installed, you should need to run nothing else... Unless I'm misunderstanding you.

remove all apps and game data (of any games that you were trying to play that didn't work)
and then reinstall kmeaw 3.55 from system recovery.... Then install Multiman 1.16 and then install BDEMU.PKG... Thats it. MM does everything for you. If you get any errors when launching then you missed a step. You dont need to install the perm fix app MM does it for you. Same with LV2 don't install that either!
THE ONLY Thing you need is MM & BDEMU.PKG

Only for copying unless someone builds the NTFS driver into their own CFW...

My current configuration (and the one used for testing the NTFS) is:

PARTITION #1: FAT32 (250GB)
PARTITION #2: NTFS (50GB)
my USB.CFG:
0x13fd:0x1240:2
multiMAN recognizes both partitions and allows me to copy stuff from both the FAT32 (/pvd_usb000) and NTFS (/pvd_usb001) one.
I just wanted to state that the NTFS feature works properly for me as well when the external HDD has 2 partitions as is the case with dean's example above. Here's my setup: hermes 3.41CFW, 2TB external HDD split into FAT32 and NTFS. I've successfully accessed the NTFS portion of the external HDD and transferred files to internal HDD using Multiman 01.16.05 and version 01.16.06 without any problems. I haven't tested it out on MM 01.16.07 or 01.16.08 yet, but I'm assuming it will work fine as well.
Lastly, I just wanted to say thank you to dean for constantly updating/improving this awesome program.
Okay, so I want to try anythign and everything here to get this going... I've tried messing around with the USB.CFG file, placing in it a bunch of different directories within the multiman folder.
So, with your NTFS partition - did you name it at all? I saw someone ask if it is active or not - well, how can I tell if mine is active? Which usb port is it plugged into?
Even the smallest little detail I will try... if it is working for others, it should work for us all, right?

Its easiest to just FTP the files to MM that you need...

A few questions related to the FTP. I have never really had the success using the built in FTP server thus I have been using the blackbox in additions to the multiMAN, it would be really nice if I can just use multiMAN alone.
Question 1). Does the built in FTP server support FEAT? I use FlashFXP and notice the error message whenever the FTP command FEAT was issued, when I turned off the FEAT command, the error message goes away.
Question 2). I assume PASV is not supported but instead the active mode (PORT) is. I noticed FlashFXP errors out on PASV and was eventually successful after re-trying with PORT.
Question 3). I am unable to list the directory content (on PS3). is LIST (ftp command) supported? I noticed there is an error (ENOENT) after the command "LIST -al" is issued, when LIST is executed without the -al option, there is no such error but then the directory is not listed either. Should I configure FlashFXP to use other list commands? (e.g. MLSD, STAT, etc).
Thanks for your help and effort, really appreciated it here.
Guess I'm just trying to see how to configure my FlashFXP to get the built-in ftp (within multiMAN) to work, since it currently wouldn't list the directory I assume the built-in FTP is not working.
Dean, I know you are busy with all type of requests and reports, guess I'll just stick with blackbox for file transfer.
Thanks.

try this in flashfxp. goto the sites drop down menu, then site manager. Go to quick connect and your connection, then go to the options tab on the right. make sure list command is set to auto detect, list parameters to default, and data connection mode set to use global settings.
others had this problem. worked for them and me.

okay my configuration:
ps3 slim 120GB (CECH-2101A)
hermes 3.41cfw
2TB WD Elements external HDD:
NTFS partition = 500GB(488.30GB)
FAT32 partition = 1500GB(1374.72GB)
USB.CFG
0x1058:0x1021:2
(If your vendor & product id contains any letters, they must be in lower case letters; mine didn't contain any letters, just numbers)
external HDD plugged into ps3's right usb connector (I don't think this makes any difference)
The games located on your external NTFS partition will not appear on games list in main menu of MM. You need to be in file manager display and will be either /pvd_usb00 or /pvd_usb01 (not exactly sure about the exact directory name since I'm away from my ps3 right now).
