Just to continue what the above poster have said,

You can delete the update.pup its actually the firmware .pup and isnt needed at all.

If you mean can you transfer games that are in MM on the internal Hard drive to the external then yes you can. Just remember any single files that are over 4gig will be split.

I have to go from GH's CFW to OFW and THEN to KM's FW right? or do i just go straight from GH's to KM's? I just dont wanna brick this system,......even if it IS a spare lol Thanks
I posted a link with a tutorial on what to do read it dude.
basically you're going to do this, Install 3.55 OFW in recover mode then install kmeaw's 3.55 CFW also in recover mode that's it then you can install a backup manager.

Hello, I'm Eviltaco64. I only just got a PS3 (60GB) a few weeks ago, so I'm still fairly new to it's homebrew scene.

While I've been able to get custom firmware and homebrew running perfectly fine, I've had a few issues with Multiman.

So far, I've tested it out with one PS2 game and one PS3 game.

The PS3 game (LittleBigPlanet: GOTY) ripped to the hard drive perfectly fine. I tried mounting it with the real game in the drive and it took me back to the XMB to boot LastGame. While the LittleBigPlanet EBOOT did show up for LastGame, it simply wouldn't work. I just kept getting sent back to the XMB.

Multiman couldn't rip the PS2 game mentioned (Grand Theft Auto III), so I had to personally rip it with my laptop and FTP the folder to the directory where the program ripped LittleBigPlanet. Fortunately, it showed up in Multiman afterwards.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to run. I tried mounting it while a PS3 disc was in the drive and swapping it with God of War II on the XMB to no success with either LastGame or PS2 Software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Eviltaco64.

Just delete the folder it has nothing to do with games updates or installing them, it's purly for firmware updates to the ps3.

OK, and how to do this in MM? Can I see if there is a file bigger than 4GB in multiman and can I play this splitted game on external?
